  • if we could all stop pretending we are whole, and instead embrace our constant becoming…

  • …perhaps we could begin to love the process of growth and change, rather than anxiously awaiting the final form.

  • your mental health is a priority
    your happiness is a priority
    your self-care is a priority
    your existence is a priority

  • You're allowed to cheer for yourself. You can be proud of who you are and how far you've come.

  • You have a purpose. Your existence wasn’t a mistaken accident, it was a creation from almost nothing to something incredible–a miracle even. You’re here, you’re breathing, growing, moving forward for a reason.

  • If you identified as ace or aro and later found out you were experiencing attraction but you were repressing it, that’s OK. Remember labels aren’t written in stone, you can change them. And it’s OK if you had to try on different ones before finding the one that was right for you.

  • Repeat after me:
My body is not wrong, or ugly, too big or too thin, too pale or too dark, too broken or too strong. It is the vessel of a precious life and that is enough.

  • You’re a strong kid, so help people.

  • You do not get to diminish someone’s healing just because they aren’t where you want them to be. Every step in the right direction is worth celebrating, not just the end goal. And I get to decide how I’m doing, and I get to decide that I’m proud of how far I have come from where I started, which is pretty freaking far and I’m so happy. Just because I’m not where you want me to be, doesn’t mean I haven’t come very far. So to anyone else who can relate to this: I’m super proud of us, and we will get where we need to be. Forward is forward, and sometimes the road is long, but we will make it.
